This is a goofy recording. It was made one evening near the end of the summer in Beta Gamma just for fun. As I remember, we were all tired and could hardly play anymore because our lips were hanging somewhere down around our knees.
I can't remember if we had actually rehearsed the piece or if we were just playing it from sight for the heck of it. I can't even remember who's idea it was. I think I was playing 1st trumpet, I think Roland Dube was 2nd trumpet, or the other way around.
[edit: after thinking about it for a while, I can't remember rehearsing this piece at all but think I remember that this was the chamber piece for one half-summer for five of the brass players. When they wanted to record it one evening but were missing the 2nd trumpet (for whatever reason), I jumped in played the 2nd part, probably from sight. – Tim]
I can visualize the others but can't recall all of their names. I'm pretty sure Roland Dube was on first trumpet and David Rothschild on trombone. I think it was David who added the f-word explicative.
(recording: simple portable cassette player)
